So you've already chosen your major and you're just a bit restless? Eager to travel and explore? Curious about the natural environment or the way we structure our cities? Or maybe just looking for a way to make your college education more meaningful and give you that extra advantage in your career field?
A minor Geography may be the perfect complement to your academic program.
The Minor in Geography consists of four foundation courses (1) covering the environmental, regional, and human traditions of geography, and six credit hours in upper-division electives. Electives may be sampled from across the department's course offerings, or selected according to your career field or area of interest. The table below suggests sets of courses that may be used to tailor the minor to your needs.
(1) Two of these courses, GEOG 101/102 and GEOG 105/106, may be used to fulfill general education requirements in Sciences and Mathematics and the other two, GEOG 202 and GEOG 204, may be used to fulfill general education requirements in the Social Sciences.
